New Site Layout Available in Beta View
MobileBurn.com's new facelift is almost complete. It has taken a lot longer to fine tune than we had hoped for, but we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel now. And, as a matter of fact, so can you. Just head on over to the beta site and have a look around. If you see any problems, just drop me a note via the contact link near the top right corner of the site.
Things to look for include a new phone browser app that lets you sort phones by manufacturer, operating system (for smartphones), and even carrier. The look is much slicker than that of the system it replaces, as well. You'll also note a link for "Related Stories" on most pages, along with some other tweaks like the occasional "Buy this phone" button and some author bio information. You can see the new look on this Sony Ericsson Z750 review. Also note the new sub-menus under "PHONES" and "ARCHIVES" at the top of each page, and the updated look for the rest of the site - like the Glossary app.
In terms of structural changes, note the new "News-in-Brief" section of the home page. We're going to cover, albeit briefly, a lot of news stories that we would have ignored otherwise. This new section will allow us to do that without knocking the more important stories off the front page prematurely. Also note the lists of links to popular and most recent stories that can be found at the bottom of all pages of the new site.
We still have tweaking and testing to do for the various browsers out there, but we're getting closer. So have a look around and please let me know if you find any major problems. Screen captures and full URL information are always helpful with any bug reports. Thanks.

Review: Sony Ericsson's Slim C902 Cyber-shot
The Sony Ericsson C902 Cyber-shot is a 5 megapixel cameraphone that features autofocus while maintaining a slim, bulge-free profile. Russell takes it out for a spin around town and comes away very impressed - except for the C902's surprisingly short battery life, that is.
