Rant follow-up: Anti-social kids, teenagers, and adults with their mobile ghetto blasters….
Recently I posted on a growing menace in our society - namely that of anti-social ‘people’, who think it’s acceptable to blast out their ‘fave choonz’ from the speaker on their mobile handset, whilst walking/riding/sloping/grunting along in public.
I was surprised to find out that this isn’t just a UK phenomenon, oh no… my post attracted [...]

AT&T secures iPhone exclusivity through 2010
There’s no doubt that AT&T has been milking its iPhone cash-cow for the past year or so. The iPhone has single-handedly broadened many consumers’ perspectives on what kind of user experience to expect from a smartphone, not to mention sparking a world-wide touchscreen revolution that no touchy-feely handset before it has managed to inspire.
In that [...]

Wordle provides mashup ‘word cloud’ of IntoMobile posts
Above you can see the ‘word cloud’ generated by a neat little web app called Wordle. Using this app, you can paste a selection of words, or an RSS/URL in to the interface, and generate your very own customisable word cloud - I think this warrants the classification ‘uber-neat’
You can make your very [...]

Oxxo - The most confusing iPhone game description
With the Apple AppStore essentially open to anyone, anywhere with a desire to code applications and games for the iPhone 3G and iPhone, there’s been a deluge of new software popping up every day. But, there’s a problem to the open invitation to develop software for the iPhone - nonsensical software summaries and descriptions.
Doc Macenstein [...]

New York Polic Department embraces picture messaging
Cameraphones. They’re everywhere these days. From James Bond to your grandmother, cameras in cellphones are a fact of life. And, cameraphones are good for more than just taking badly-framed self-portraits or the occasional candid photo on the street, they can also be used to fight crime. At least that’s the way the New York Police [...]

Lending mobile phones to friends soon to be illegal in Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka’s government has some weird ideas. Back in February, we saw them blocking SMS on independence day and now they want to ban mobile phone lending. The idea behind the move is to fight terrorism, “to avert irregularities and illegal activities while minimizing threats to national security created by the irresponsible use of telephones.”
The [...]
